iOS App update: Today extension

A huge update for the Lilypie, Daisypath and PitaPata iOS Apps, I have added a Today extension for iOS 8 and made a lot of bug fixes and stability improvements for all platforms.

In iOS 8 you can now display your tickers in the Today pane. Tickers are sorted so that the next coming event is at the top. Click on a ticker to scroll to the next event. Click on Settings to select which tickers to display in the Today pane.

Thank you to everyone for all the great feedback, the problem with tickers and package downloads not always saving should now be resolved.

The Lilypie, Daisypath and PitaPata Android Apps are available on the Google Play store.

Lilypie App for iPhone / iPad / iPod touch available on Apple store

I have created a Lilypie App for iPhone / iPad / iPod that you can purchase through the Apple App store. The App allows you to create and use tickers on your iOS device without an Internet connection.

In the Lilypie App you can create tickers for Pregnancy, Birthday, Trying to Conceive, Breastfeeding, Memorial and Events. Event tickers allow you to count to or from special dates such as Holidays, School starting, Adoption, or for Assisted pregnancies.

In Notify, you can set notifications to regularly display updated ticker text on your lock screen, as a banner or an alert.

In Share you can post full-size and mini-ticker images to Facebook, Twitter, send them via email or save tickers to your camera roll.

In Publish there is one click to copy code snippets you can use to publish updating ticker graphics on many websites, blogs, email and forum signatures.

The App installs with the minimum of images to keep the initial download small. Once installed you can download lots more images in FREE ticker packages listed in the Options: Available Packages section.

Android App update: Maternity Development stages ticker added

We have added a Development Stages ticker to the Lilypie Android App. The Developing Stages ticker displays a dynamically changing slider, days and weeks pregnant and text about the development stage.

Of course, all babies are unique they gain weight and develop differently, the development text is only a general guide.

Android App update: Support for multiple, independent and configurable widgets

We have made big changes to the Lilypie Lilypie, Daisypath and PitaPata Android Apps to allow for multiple, independent and configurable widgets. Now you can have as many Lilypie Widgets on your home screen as you want, all with a unique ticker listing.

When you put a Widget on your home screen, you can select the tickers you want to display on each Widget in the Widget Configuration page.

Double click on the widget if you want to change the tickers displayed. Single click on the widget if you want to refresh the ticker or cycle through a set of tickers.

Facebook ticker publishing error fixed

My apologies to anyone who tried to Publish a ticker on Facebook over the weekend. There was a technical issue following a server update that caused an error. It has been fixed now. Thank you for your patience.

Android app update

We have added a new Home Screen Widget and improved the Widget image quality and text clarity for Lilypie, Daisypath and PitaPata Android Apps. Thanks to everyone for your great feedback.

There are now three Home Screen Widgets to choose from. A Compact (original) size which will show 1 ticker, a Compact Double size which shows 2 tickers and a larger Standard version (1 ticker only).

The Compact Double Widget was added to resolve a problem with displaying the Compact widget with a dynamic height on Samsung Galaxy III (and possibly other) phones.

Lilypie: TTC tickers added to Lilypie Android App

We have added a Trying to Conceive ticker and a TTC ticker image to the Lilypie Android App and there is a new ticker image package to go with it

The Lilypie Android App is available in the Google Play store. The App allows you to create and display tickers on your Android device without an Internet connection.

The Lilypie Android App includes Pregnancy, Birthday, Premature Baby, TTC and Event tickers with the option to enable Breastfeeding and Memorial tickers.

Android App Update: New larger widget

We have added a new larger widget size to the Lilypie, Daisypath and PitaPata Android Apps. Thanks to everyone for your great feedback.

There are now two Home Screen Widgets to choose from. A compact (original) size which will show either 1 or 2 tickers and a new larger version (1 ticker only).

If your device supports it, the widgets can also be added to your lock screen.

NOTE: You may need to remove and re-add the widget for it to work correctly.

Lilypie: Assisted conception ticker

I have created an Assisted Conception event ticker with a variable time scale for people trying to conceive using IVF, IUI, ICSI, GIFT or any other form of assisted conception. For instance, you can count down to your next embryo transfer, starting injections or days left until your pregnancy/beta test. Or you can count from your last stim.

You can set the time scale as long or short as you like, the scale is based on the start or stop date you set.

Android Apps for Lilypie, Daisypath and PitaPata

We have created Android Apps for Lilypie, Daisypath and PitaPata that you can purchase through Google Play. The Apps let you create and use tickers on your Android device without an Internet connection.
With the App installed on your phone you can display the tickers as a widget on your Android device's home screen and when you are online you can publish the tickers to sites such as Facebook, Google+, Blogger etc.

On the home screen widget you can always see which event is coming up next, and click to refresh and cycle through your tickers.

Purchasing the app gives you free access to a library of ticker packages with lots more hand drawn images to choose from when you create your tickers.

Lilypie: Sleeping twin memorial sliders

I have drawn sleeping twin sliders for the Memorial ticker.

Lilypie: Twin & triplet boy birthday sliders

I have drawn new twin and triplet boy sliders to the birthday tickers for boys 3 years and older.

Facebook App update

We have made a change to all of our Facebook Apps so that when you Publish the ticker to your Facebook feed, it posts the full ticker as a Photo, previously it posted as a thumbnail to your newstream.

The Photo is a cached copy of the ticker image, it doesn't update. Whenever you want to see, or publish the latest ticker image you can go to your App canvas page on Facebook.

A link to your App canvas page will appear in the left column of your home page.

You will also see the App icon in the top right menu when you are in another application.

Page tabs on Facebook

For people with Facebook Pages, I have updated our Apps on Facebook to include Page tabs. Our Facebook App pages:
Lilypie App, Daisypath App, PitaPata App, LilySlim App

The Page tabs can be added to any Facebook Page that you have admin rights to. Facebook Pages don't include your Home page or personal Profile, they are generally created for organizations and shared interests. More about Pages on Facebook.

For instance, if your mothers' group, friends or extended family have a Facebook Page, you can each add tickers to a Page tab. The tickers are sorted so that the next event is always at the top of the Page tab. How to add a Lilypie Page tab to your Facebook Page.

Lilypie: Winter babies with penguins

For the First birthday ticker I have drawn babies snugly dressed for winter, cuddling toy penguins. The First birthday ticker is for babies up to their fist birthday.

I also added a pink snowflake background to all of the Birthday tickers.

Update: I have also added the winter babies to the Second birthday ticker for 1 year olds counting up to their Second birthday.

Lilypie: More flying kites and whirling umbrellas

I have added Autumn sliders to the birthday tickers for 3 year olds and up on Lilypie.

I have added 24 new sliders for one and two year olds in the 2nd and 3rd birthday tickers, including sliders for twins.

I have added ballerina sliders to the birthday tickers on Lilypie for one year olds and up.

I have added some new Autumn backgrounds to all of the Birthday tickers, Maternity and Pregnancy tickers on Lilypie. Tomorrow I am going to start drawing some new sliders to go with them.
